There are many searchable databases and indices on the Internet. Before you go searching through any below, I suggest you take a look at JewishGen's databases list . Several of it's databases, including the Family Finder, are helpful to all Jewish genealogists. A few other databases include...

• Avotaynu Consolidated Jewish Surname Index - searches 23 databases of Jewish surnames
• Avotaynu Microfiche index - microfiche sold by Avotaynu, the largest Jewish Genealogy publication
• Boston Jewish Advocate Obituary Database - an index of over 20,000 obituary notices which appeared in the Boston Jewish Advocate
• Family Tree of the Jewish People - a searchable compilation of family trees of Jewish researchers - a collective effort of JewishGen, the IAJGS and Beth Hatefutsoth
• Germans, Swiss and Austrians Deported from France - the 825 names in this database were taken from much larger lists of persons deported from France, published intermittently by the French government in the Journal officiel from 1987 through 1994
• Jerusalem, Jaffa, and Haifa Consular Post Records Databases - the JGS of Greater Washington compiled this database of consular records
• Grodno (Belarus) Gubernia 1912 Voters List Database - this database contains the names of over 26,000 men of Grodno Gubernia who were eligible to vote in the Russian parliamentary elections in 1912
• Latter-Day Saints Family History Library: Index of selected Jewish records - reel numbers of some commonly needed Jewish (and a few non-Jewish) records
• World Synagogue Directory - a searchable directory of synagogues around the world
• Obituary Index of Dziennik Chicagoski - this was a Polish-language newspaper in Chicago, the index covers the years 1890-1958
• Penn State's Jewish Genealogy Gopher - scattered information about Jewish genealogy
• Religious Personnel in Russia - searchable database (of mostly Rabbis) of religious personnel in Russia from 1853-1854
• Sinai Congregation, Chicago, Marriages Database - this is a database of information on 526 marriages, originally contained in two small books with handwritten notations
