July 1977 - Placed in service with a 1977 Ford pick-up truck with a utility box.  Stationed at Medic 4 at Federal St and Lafayette St. in the Northside of Pittsburgh.
March 28, 1980 - Rescue 2 moved to 8th St. with Medic 9 in Downtown Pittsburgh.
January 15, 1981 - Rescue 2 receives a new truck, a 1981 Chevy 4x4 pickup with a utility box.
September 21, 1982 - Rescue 2 moves to Liberty Ave. and 22nd Street.  Currently the location of Medic 9's station.
January 8, 1984 - Rescue 2 moves back to Medic 4's station in the Northside.
July 2, 1986 - Rescue 2 moves to Medic 3 station on South Main St. in the West End of Pittsburgh.
February 17, 1987 - Rescue 2 receives a new truck, a 1987 Chevy 4x4 pick-up with a walk-in box.
March 2, 1990 - Rescue 2 is remounted on a 1989 Chevy 4x4 pick-up.
January 22, 1992 - Rescue 2 moves to the "River Safety Center" at 101 River Ave. along the Allegheny River on the Northside with Medic 14 and River Rescue.
July 20, 1992 - Rescue 2 receives a new truck, a 1991 International Harvester with a custom 14-foot walk-in box build by Sabre.
January 13, 1999 - Rescue 2 moves to 344 Blvd. of the Allies with Medic 14 to the "Downtown Station"
June 30, 2000 - Rescue 2 receives a new truck, a 2000 FL80 Business Class Freightliner/American LaFrance Custom rescue truck with a 15-foot box.
