BS Student Organization

The Child Development Association is a student organization certified by the University. Opportunities are provided for students to develop and employ organizational and communication skills within the Association, and then upon graduation to transfer these skills to working in the professional environment.

The Association provides opportunities for:

incorporating developmental/interventive knowledge in community projects
developing organizational skills
enhancing the academic, professional and social goals on undergraduate students
enhancing interactions among student, staff and faculty

Graduate Student Association

The purpose of the CD/CC GSA is to promote and enhance the development of the academic, professional, and social aims and interests of the graduate students in the CD/CC Program. The CD/CC GSA is open to all graduate students within the program and therefore each member has voting rights. Three officers, President, Vice-President, and Business Manager represent the graduate students. Officers also represent students at Student Executive Council (SEC) meetings. All officer positions are open to any CD/CC graduate student and elections are determined by majority vote.

The CD/CC GSA provides many services to the program and the community. Past events have included a Holiday Toy Drive, CPR classes for graduates, and the construction of the CD/CC Program Web Site.

The first annual Holiday Toy Drive was a success.
