| Hello, and welcome to the ENGR 0715 website of Laura Dempsey! I'm a freshman bioengineer at the University of Pittsburgh. I originally come from Bellvue, Colorado, a small area in the mountains right outside of Fort Collins (about an hour and a half north of Denver). I went to Poudre High School and participated in/obtained my diploma from the International Baccalaureate program there. I have TONS of interests! I love art of all kinds and paint in my spare time. I also do traditional analog photography, including dark room work for black and white film. I would love to learn different mediums, such as printmaking or textiles, and I hope to pursue my art education here at Pitt! I also play the violin and piano and have taught myself cello in the past. However, while I do like classical music, I'm crazy about weird musical genres! My favorites at the moment are ambience, noise and lo-fi. Talk to me if you want some strange music recommendations!I am a huge nature fan who loves gardening. I'm obsessed with plants and always enjoy going to parks (wildlife or local) and conservatories. I am a very friendly person and like to meet new people. I may act light-hearted at times, but I can assure you I become quite intense when it comes to studying and completing work! |
