Anales de arqueología 2005

edited by Alejandro Martínez Muriel, Alberto López Wario, Óscar J. Polaco, and Felisa J. Aguilar

Mexico has at least 37,700 registered sites that contain archaeological evidence; by no means this is the total universe but a representative sample. The records go from Pleistocene fauna to sites containing remains close to the Spanish conquest. The decision to start publishing the Anales again was taken in order to provide a forum for letting archaeological practitioners know about the investigations that are taking place and, at the same time, to agree on new approaches for research in the long term. In Spanish.
