A total of 1,759 survey collection lots of
the Fúquene project contained ceramics (see Chapter 2). A data file
named CERAM.TXT contains the number of sherds of each ceramic type in each
survey collection lot. These data are in the form of an ASCII text file
that can be read directly or easily imported to an application program
such as a database manager or statistics package. The file contains 1,759
lines, one for each collection lot. On each line are 14 numbers, separated
by commas. The 14 numbers are, in the following order:

The first line of the file, for example, looks like this:
1,0,0,0,0,0,0,7,2,0,1,0,0,0
It contains the ceramics counts for collection lot 1, which are 7 sherds of Dragged-tempered ware, 2 sherds of Glazed ware, and 1 sherd of China.
The last (or 1759th) line is:
2003,0,0,0,0,0,0,12,0,0,0,0,0,0
The ceramics in collection lot 2003 consisted of 12 sherds of Dragged-tempered ware.
