My name is Justin Lehr, and I am 19 years old. I enjoy playing baseball, camping, and watching both football and baseball. I graduated from Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The high school was a brand new facility when I went there, so I was a member of the first graduating class at that high school. While there, I took a chemistry class that focused on experimentation more than lecturing. This fascinated me, so using this as a basis, along with the fact that I have always excelled at mathematics, I decided to become a chemical engineer.
Deciding on a college to attend was difficult at first, but then I realized exactly what I wanted from my college experience. West Chester, where I grew up, is a small suburban town about an hour away from Philadelphia. I determined that I wanted a change of scenery and to be somewhat far away from home, but not so far as to need to fly home whenever I needed to. Pittsburgh fit into both of those categories, and it is has been established as a top school to earn an engineering degree.
