All exams will be open book. You may use both the Atkins textbook and your class notes.

COURSE GRADING: In class exams 25% each, final exam 30%, assignments 20%

There will be 8 homework assignments, some of which will involve computer assignments (software will be provided). If you have not already done so, you should obtain an account on the University computer systems, so that you can use the PC labs, and have access to e-mail and the WWW.

During the semester, extra-credit points will be available through in-class quizzes.
