Philosophy of the Course

Our goals are to develop an understanding of the manifestations of quantum behavior in chemistry. Although quantitative predictions require using tools from mathematics, and increasingly computers, it is important to also develop a conceptual understanding of quantum phenomena in chemistry. This is the key of being able to make qualitative predictions about how molecules will behave under different situations.
