Thesis work

My thesis work includes my GSR work and a therotical part on score statistics in linkage analysis. I had my oral defense April 1, 2009 and will be graduating this spring. July 1, I will start my postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Mary Sara McPeek, in the Department of Statistics, University of Chicago.

GSR work

My GSR work is on the genetics of age-related maculopathy (GARM). This is a wonderful project I really like working on. Two very important genes have been discovered for the disease. The group I am part of was the first to discover one of them. The PI of the project is Dr. Michael B. Gorin and other members of the group are Dr. Yvette P. Conley, Dr. Robert E. Ferrell, and Dr. Daniel E. Weeks.
