I teach a variety of courses in economics at
both the undergraduate and the graduate level. Here are my known defects
as a teacher, as revealed in student evaluations: I can't
hear very well and I sometimes talk in a monotone. I am a bit on the
short side and have no fashion sense, so you will want to sit in the
front for the best view. Finally, I like to teach stuff I don't know
much about. This provides me with an additional incentive to prepare
for class and also serves as a handy excuse when I am stumped by
hard questions.
