Economics 1200

Professor John  Duffy

Fall Semester  2003 (04 -1)

CRN: 19974

Term Project Due: December 2

You may complete the term project by yourself, in pairs, or in groups of three maximum (in which case all students will be awarded the same grade).

The project is to model a real-world economic problem as a game that can be played with paper and pencil, or using the comlabgames software. Many examples of such games will be presented in class, so you will get a good feel for how to tackle this project. Specifically, you will write your game out in extensive form, specifying the set of players, actions, information sets and payoffs. After you have designed your game, you should conduct an experimental test of it with some friends or classmates (not yourself!). You should collect the data on the choices they make in your game. Finally, you will analyze the data and write up a report.

(Further Details are to be determined at a later time)
