PITT-GREENSBURG ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (PGAA)
STUDENT COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

A campus service award will be given by PGAA to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg student who best exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism through participation in a student organization in one's community.

General Guidelines:

  1. A student must be an active member in good standing of a registered University organization.  It is expected that the student make contributions that help to advance the organization towards its goal(s).

  2. A student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50.  The applicant's cumulative GPA as reflected in the submitted unofficial transcripts will also be considered in determining the recipients for this award.

  3. A student may receive the award only once.

  4. The applicant must be a currently registered student of Pitt-Greensburg with a minimum of 24 credits from Pitt-Greensburg.

  5. A student may be nominated by more than one organization.

  6. The student is expected to be present at the Leadership Banquet to receive the award.


Procedures for Nomination:

  1. All Pitt-Greensburg students will be notified that they may submit nominations for themselves or others for the Student Community Service Award.  The notification of this service award will be advertised by the way of campus e-mail and the intercom.

  2. For self-nominations, an unofficial copy of the student's transcript is required.

  3. PGAA will select the recipient from the list of nominees.  PGAA may require an interview with the nominees.

  4. The PGAA reserves the right not to award the award.
