The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s Media Competition

2012 Media Topic:

“Black Women in American History”

This contest is sponsored by Pitt Greensburg’s President’s Advisory Committee on Diversity Affairs, which defines diversity to include people of all racial, ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as all genders, abilities, ages, and sexual orientation.

 

Contest Rules

1.       Contestants must be currently registered at Pitt Greensburg

2.       Submissions must be between 2-5 minutes long

3.       Videos must be submitted on a CD

4.       Videos must be able to be viewed on Windows Media Player

5.       Submissions can be in documentary and/or narrative style

6.       Submissions may be created individually or as a team of up to four. The prize money will remain the same as per first, second and third prizes

7.       Contestants must provide the following information regarding their submission:

o   Title (must also be printed on the CD)

o   Contestant(s) names

o   Major and class (year) standing(s)

o   Home address, e-mail address and telephone number

o   Short description of the submission (1 – 3 sentences)

8.       Please send submissions to:

9.       Submissions must be dropped off at FOB 230 by February 16, 2012 at 4 p.m., event tentatively scheduled for February 28, 2011

10.   First, second and third prizes of $300, $200, and $100, respectively will be awarded
