This volume offers a diverse appraisal of the work of Argentine writer Ricardo Piglia, author of Respiración artificial and Plata quemada. The articles contained herein analyze various aspects of his narrative, with respect to both its international influence and its place in the Latin American canon. The essays in this volume are organized around a number of central themes, including the poetics of the writer, the writer as critic, narrative in/against gender, experience, history and its telling, and the writer and tradition.
