Héroes de papel: avatares de una construcción imaginaria en America Latina
This special issue investigates the national hero's figure as an identity that allows characterizing the peculiar trajectory of the character as well as the idiosyncrasy of a national community. The collaborations in this volume approach the hero’s figure from different theoretical perspectives. Topics include conditions and ways of production of heroic figures, which are incorporated in national imaginaries, rewritings and reinterpretations according to the historical circumstances, the places occupied by the agents, the public, the discursive genres, and other features. The result is a polyphony that opens new readings.
