-
- Zizi, M., Beaudounin-Lafon, M. B. (1995). Hypermedia exploration with
interactive dynamic maps. Int. J. of Human-Computer Studies, 43, 441-464.
This is about some sort of "interactive dynamic maps" that they create
for hypermedia documents (primarily the web, I believe).

(Read Fritsch, Venkat Kolluri)
-
I think it would also be interesting to look at some of the tools that
allow one to get an overview of a hypermedia document collection. One I
can think of is by Apple (it's called Project X, or Hot Sauce), and it
looks at the structure of a web site, making a data space that you can
fly through.

Networks and ISDN Systems, 28:85-97.

- Lamm, S. E.., et al. (1996). Real time geographic visualization of world wide

This describes a VR system for real-time analysis and mapping of WWW servers to
their geographic origins.
