Pittsburgh round of Math Kangaroo 2009
will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2009
in the Cathedral of Learning on the main campus of the University of Pittsburgh
in Oakland. The competition will start 6:00 pm sharp. Please arrive no
later than 5:45
so that the children can get settled.
Please bring with you good HB pencils and erasers.
Calculators are NOT allowed.
Room assignment (all rooms in the Cathedral of Learning):
Grade 2: Room 244B (2nd floor)
Grades 3,4,5,6 : Room G8 (basement)
Grades 7,8: Room 206 (2nd floor)
Grades 9,10,11,12: Room 318 (3rd floor)
Parents are required to stay in the building for the entire time of the
competition (60 mins for 2nd grade, 75 mins for all others), as some
children may end early and we do not provide a child-care. No refreshments
are served anywhere in the building so please bring your own.
Parking space is difficult to find on Oakland campus and 6pm is a rush hour
so please, plan accordingly. The closest garages with good chances of
having space available are Soldiers and Sailors parking garage and Carnegie
Museums parking garage.
