Research interest
|
I'm a third year student in the Ph. D. program. Besides collecting degrees in various departments, I'm currently thinking about choosing a dissertation topic and publishing some papers. I'm generally interested in questions related to how mathematics gets used in different mathematical sciences. This semester my focus is on psychology of mathematics, philosophy of modal logic, general relativity and a bit on quantum gravity; also, I'm teaching a course on ancient "Myth and Science".

French: fluent. German, Turkish: poor.
Programming skills: Turbo Assembler, Turbo Pascal, Visual Basic. I can handle HTML and JavaScript source and all the usual Windows applications as well. I'm somewhat familiar with the usual econometric and with some of the mathematical program packages. I'm a fan of LaTeX.

Hobbies
|
Music listening (mainly instrumental), books, sometimes poetry. I like to participate in surviving trips, and I walk around after midnight. Since I'm in the States I'm a fan of electric nick-nacks.
