I. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the last meeting of UCGS are attached for your review.

II. Proposal to Establish an Area of Concentration in the MSN program in Health and Community Systems
I attach a proposal submitted by Dean Ellen Rudy to introduce a new area of concentration in Specialized Nursing Roles in the MSN program in Health and Community Systems. In many cases the introduction of a new area of concentration would not need the usual formal review. But this case represents a substantial change in the MSN program and is being reviewed as would a new academic program.

III. Evaluation of the Doctoral Program Offered by the School of Social Work
The report of the Subcommittee on the Evaluation of Academic Programs (see attached) will be presented by Kathleen DeWalt, the liaison to the review. Dean David Epperson and Professor Harvey White, a member of the Internal Review Committee, will attend the meeting at 3:45 PM to answer any questions concerning the report. Any member who wishes to review the Internal Review Committee Report, the External Review Committee Report, and the Department's Response in 801 C.L. should contact Paula Janikowski.

IV. Committee Reports
Two of the UCGS committees will have met and the chairs may wish to report on their progress.
