AGENDA

I. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the last meeting of UCGS are attached for your review.

II. Presentation by GPSA
I have asked GPSA to make a brief report on their activities. They are involved in several projects and I wanted UCGS to be aware of them.

III. Proposal for an MS in Pharmacology
The attached proposal seeks to create a terminal masters degree for students who cannot complete the Ph.D. program in Pharmacology for personal, financial, academic, or medical reasons. Students will not be admitted to pursue the masters degree. Pharmacology is the only one of the seven Ph.D. programs in the School of Medicine which does not offer the terminal masters degree. A representative from the school will attend to answer questions.

IV. Report of the Graduate Procedures Committee
The Graduate Procedures Committee has considered a number of issues and will present recommendations for UCGS consideration. Proposed changes to Regulations Governing Graduate Study at the University of Pittsburgh are attached.
