A summary report of nine country studies (Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda) on manpower requirements for the 1970's and how they could best be met, this study focuses principally upon high-level manpower demand and supply. The educational capabilities of these countries to meet manpower needs is assessed, the level of overseas study by African students measured, and the extent to which participants will meet known educational needs examined; the study also identifies bottlenecks and imbalances in educational development and suggests areas in which external assistance can be best employed.
