As you may have learned from our Land Mines Awareness Education pages, an enormous effort has been made lately to educate children and adults in Afghanistan, Angola, Bosnia, Cambodia, El Salvador, Laos, Mozambique, Rwanda, Somalia, Yemen, and Zaire of the devastating effects of land mines. Due to a reckless use of land mines in these countries, thousands of children became child amputees suffering from lower or upper limb loss. At this site, we are trying to identify online resources that are helpful to those of you who are either working in these countries as emergency workers or who have a developing interest in child amputees. |
