  The attached report came from UNESCO's Axel Plathe. Mr. Plathe spent the first week of February 1996 visiting libraries in Sarajevo and Mostar.

• The National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the main focal point for library science and information research in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It provided guidance within the framework of library development/research to university, municipal, school and other types of libraries. It was destroyed in August, 1992. It is now in revival.
