The list of RDFs includes proteins that have been annotated as an excisionase, xis, cox, excisase or identifed in similarity based searches. The protein names are either the name of the DNA element in the case of phages, transposons and plasmids, or the gene name in the case of unnamed prophages and chromosomal genes. Familiy groups are based on a phylogenetic analysis of the sequences. DNA type indicates the type of DNA element in which the gene is located. The host is the organism which is infectecd by the DNA element. Int Type is the type of integrase that the excisionase has been identified in conjunction with. HTH indicates the presence of a Helix-Turn-Helix DNA binding motif as determined by the methods of Dodd and Egan. The isoelectric focusing points (pI) were calculated using Compute pI/MW on the Expasy Web Page The list contains links to pages for protein families and to a page for each protein.
