Hello my name is Gautam Vangipuram, and I’m a bioengineer at the
University of Pittsburgh. I hail from the small town of Frankfort, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. I love everything about Chicago, the Cubs, Bulls, and of course Da Bears. The summer is by far the best time to enjoy a nice walk downtown on the magnificent mile, or a bite to eat at the Taste of Chicago. And at night, when the lights go on, its amazing. Pittsburgh is great but I don’t think anything compares to the skyline of Chicago.
I’m currently in the second semester of my first year of engineering, and so far I’m really enjoying it.My plan is to get a degree in bioengineering and then pursue a career in medicine (perhaps at UPMC).
The work is more than most get, but I still have time to do what I like. I'm loving the oakland zoo and the basketball team right now, its everything people said it was and more. The people around the area are
very nice and hospitable.
