Customizing SatchLCall

The new version of SatchLCall (released in August of 2001) allows for a greater degree of customization when downloaded and installed locally. There are four parameters that can be set in the APPLET section of the HTML file, they are:

<PARAM NAME="level" VALUE=" ">

Valid values are "complete" or "basic". Complete will present all LC shelving rules, including copy numbers, volume numbers, dates, size designations, etc.. Basic will present rules only up to and including first Cutter numbers.

<PARAM NAME="quizonly" VALUE=" ">

Valid values are "yes" or "no". If set to yes, only the drag and drop quiz will display, not the tutorial of LC rules. This can be useful if you have developed your own tutorial and only wish to allow users to practice their shelving skills.

<PARAM NAME="bgcolor" VALUE=" ">
<PARAM NAME="textcolor" VALUE=" ">

Value values are any legitimate hex color code. You may wish to set these colors to the hex codes used in the <BODY> tag of your HTML page.

The PARAM color tags only control certain areas of the applet itself. The main HTML page on which the applet resides still has the standard color fields in the <BODY> tag. The following graphic explains which tags control what colors:
