Yaqin Xia, M.D. Assistant Professor
Dr. Yaqin Xia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. She joined the Department of Family Medicine in September, 2005, and maintains a clinical practice in Squirrel Hill, to include Maternity Care. Dr. Xia was awarded a B.S. in Computer Science from Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand. She was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, Guangzhou, China, in 1987; and a MHPE (Master of Health Professional Education) from the University of Illinois, Chicago and Beijing Medical University, China, in 1992. She was a full-time resident at Forbes Regional Hospital from 2002–2005, where she received extra selective training in pediatrics, neonatology, and high-risk maternity care. She holds a Certificate in Computer Science from the Unitec Institute of Technology, Aukland, New Zealand. |
