Dawna H. Woodyear, M.D.
Assistant Professor
Dr. Dawna Woodyear is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family
Medicine. She joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2004 and has
a clinical practice at the University of Pittsburgh Student Health Center and
the Matilda Theiss Health Center. She teaches in the Medical Interviewing
Course and the Family Medicine Clerkship. Dr. Woodyear was awarded a
B.S. in Biology and Technical Writing/Editing from Carnegie-Mellon University
in 1976. She earned a M.S. in Biology/Tumor Immunology from Howard
University Graduate School of Biology (Washington, DC) in 1980 and a M.D.
from University of Maryland at Baltimore, Graduate School of Medicine in
1985. She interned at Forbes Health System (Pittsburgh) from 1985–1986
and was a resident, also with Forbes Health System, from 1986–1988.
