The University of Pittsburgh’s Environmental Studies Program provided me with a strong background in general sciences, especially in geology, ecology, and chemistry, as well as vital insight into the study of environmental quality, global change, and environmental/human health interactions. My internship with the United States Army Corps of Engineers provided me with hands-on research experience emphasizing data analysis/synthesis and the written expression of scientific observations and ideas. My undergraduate studies prepared me for my career as an environmental scientist."
