Areas of Interest:

Theory of Industrial Organization, Applied Game Theory and The Industrial Organization of Health Care and Media Markets.

Dr. Gal-Or received her PhD in managerial economics and decision sciences from Northwestern University. Her undergraduate and master's level training in economics was received at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Gal-Or's research and teaching interests are in microeconomics, industrial organization, game theory, and decision theory. Her work has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation and other government agencies. It has been published in economics and management journals such as Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, the Bell (Rand) Journal of Economics, Management Science, Marketing Science, and the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy. She is currently serving as co-editor of the European Economic Review and the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy.. In the past, she served on the advisory board of the National Science Foundation in the economics area, and on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, the Journal of Industrial Economics , Marketing Science and the Review of Accounting Studies. She was the recipient of the 1989 University of Pittsburgh President's Distinguished Research Award.
