My Bio

I am currently a bioengineering major at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering. I am from Hershey, PA, which is about 4 hours away. I love dogs, tennis, shopping, watching Netflix and sleeping.

Welcome to my webpage! I am a freshman engineering student at Pitt and plan on getting a bioengineering degree because of its combination of engineering and medicine. It’s taken me a while to decide what I want to do and where I want to go. Honestly, it might all change again because I’m so indecisive. Other than my loooove of engineering, I love to cook and watch the Food Network all the time. I used to cook all of the time at home, but since I don’t have a kitchen here I have to settle for watching it on TV. I also love to play tennis. I started in high school and will probably be playing for the rest of my life. Another defining element of Emily Swist, is my love for dogs. I have a ton of pictures of my dogs in my room, and whenever my parents come to visit, I make them bring my dogs. Along with cooking, another one of my passions is food. Every week, my friends and I find a new (cheap)restaurant to try, which helps us learn not only the neighborhoods, but also the bus system. We have yet to try a place we hate, thanks to our BFF Yelp. I love my new life in Pittsburgh and I can’t wait to make a ton more memories!
