Pindar, Olympian and Isthmian 8

A major literary source of information about Greek myth is the choral lyic poetry of Pindar. Focusing as they do, though, on Greek and Roman epic and Greek tragedy, Harris & Platzner devote little attention to Pindar, aside from quoting an important passage from the beginning of Nemean 6. (The Nemean 6 passage deals with a fundamental unity of gods and humans in Greek thought - and also irreconcilable differences between them, H & P, pp. 19-20.)

Translations of Olympian 1 and Isthmian 8, by Diane Arnson Svarlien and others, are available on line, from the Perseus project.
