I was born and raised about forty minutes from Pittsburgh. I am a huge Steelers and Penguins fan. Ever since I was a young boy, I knew that I was going to be an engineer and that one day I would go to the University of Pittsburgh. I only sent one college application and it was for Pitt. I have also been a Boy Scout since I was six years old and when I was sixteen, I earned the rank of Eagle Scout. I am only the second person in my family to accomplish this, the other being my uncle when he was younger. In high school, I played for the high school soccer team. My junior year I was named Junior Varsity Captain and in my senior year I was a frequent starter. We were also the first team to win a playoff game in school history when we upsetted third ranked Franklin Regional in the first round. During high school, I excelled in both physics and calculus and realized that I wanted to become a mechanical engineer. I did however develop a passion for making movies and decided to at least minor in film. I am not the engineering “type.” I am more creative and social and I love to have fun. However, I do have qualities every engineer should have: a good work ethic, determination, and the love of a challenge. One of the other reasons I decided to become an engineer is that there is always a high demand for them. We will be working with the Hill House Association. Our Project consists of developing the Hill District's "Green-Up" space walking paths and creating awarness of said paths.
