The minutes were reviewed, corrected and approved.

 

Business

 

Irene Frieze's announced some of the Workshops before the Plenary Session, they can be viewed at www.pitt.edu/~frieze. "Examining the Roles of Women at Pitt" at the 2004 University Senate Plenary Session will be on April 7th at the William Pitt Union. The question is "How to best address the needs of women students in the classroom and outside the classroom." She thanked everyone for their good feedback.

 

Dr. Talbott suggested asking Dr. Daniel to return to the next meeting to provide closure to the Campus Climate issue.

 

Dr. Baranger is being formally recognized for her contributions to the University. Most loyal attendee from administration, always helpful and pleasant and has been honored at the Honors Convocation for her 35 years of service. A hands-on administrator, who always listens and acts who will be missed, and we thank her for her dedication and help at the SEPC Committee Meetings.

 

Dr. Pat Beeson will be taking Dr. Baranger's place.
