PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2006-present:  Italian Language Coordinator, Dept. of French and Italian, University of Pittsburgh
•    Preparation of language curriculum, including syllabi, exams and other means of assessment for elementary and intermediate courses
•    Teaching two to three elementary and intermediate courses per semester, including all lesson plans, student assessment, etc.
•    Mentoring and instructing new teaching assistants in teaching approaches
•    Observation and assessment of teaching assistants and part-time instructors
•    Co-creation and presentation of TA Orientation week
•    Second faculty member on the Pitt in Italy summer program in Syracuse, Italy.

2004-2006:  Instructor, Dept. of French and Italian, University of Pittsburgh.
•    Preparation and teaching of three 5-credit courses per semester, Elementary and Intermediate Italian.  
•    Responsible for grading and assessment, lesson planning, holding office hours.  
•    Assisted in training incoming Ta’s and other part-time instructors, writing/revising exams and syllabi.  

Summer 2005:  Language Curriculum Coordinator and Instructor, Abbey Road Overseas Programs
•    Supervised the writing of syllabi for three elementary and intermediate Italian courses and supervised the curriculum of Italian programs for an American study abroad company based in Florence, Italy.  
•    Taught an intermediate course in Bologna, Italy in July 2005.  Responsible for all grading and evaluations, lesson planning, and materials used in classroom.  Lived with students and assisted in daily tasks and weekly excursions.

2002-2004:  Teaching Assistant, Dept. of French and Italian, University of Pittsburgh
•    Preparation and teaching of one 5-credit courses per semester, elementary Italian.
•    Responsible for grading and evaluations, writing exams, lesson planning, holding office hours.  

2002-present:  Private Italian Language Tutor, Pittsburgh, PA
•    Tutoring and instructing private lessons to a wide variety of non-traditional students
