Housekeeping

Evaluation Program

Harish will continue to work on the pragram produced by Sjarif as the evaluation tool for Web accessibility. He will discuss it with Sjarif abou getting and expanding the program. There are several functions we would like the program to have in the future.

1. Accessibility Assessment: This is the main function of the program. Currently this part is accomplished using regular expression.
2. Complexity Assessment: This is the continuity from Al's work.
3. Readability Assessment: This will be a new function into the program. It will requires the DOM tree parser to provided the page into sections.

Publishing tasks

1. Bambang is working on a paper on the methodology of accessibility measurement matrics. He found a paper on measuring accessibility in physical environment. He wants to borrow some idea from that.
2. Xiaoming is working on the paper on the evaluation of accessbility of health information web sites using the measurement matrics. The paper is targeted to the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association. He has complied most part of the paper and is going to do proofreading and edting soon next week.
3. Al is collecting paper for his own paper.

Web accessibility longitudinal study

1. Al has modifed his program and gave it to stephanie as a stand alone program
2. Al will also to find what the solutin to the URL reformating is.

Funcationality of Microsoft Office

1. We discuss the possibility to use Microsoft Office as a Web service
2. Reza should try to implement the gateway in Java as much as possible. And also keep the Microsoft web service into consideration.

Web accessibility gateway server

1. Reza has setup the Tomcat server. He is able to get the page from the Internet
2. He found a bug from Tomcat server, downloaded the patch to fix it.
3. He will check the transformation soon.
