CROSSLISTING of GRADUATE COURSES -- FALL 2010 (AY2011)
Faculty interested in cross-listing a graduate-level course with the Cultural Studies Program for FALL 2010 should do 2 things by [Check back for exact date in February 2010]:
1. Email the Cultural Studies administrator, Karen (cultural@pitt.edu ; 412-624-7232), providing the COURSE NUMBER, TITLE, AND COURSE DESCRIPTION (description should be appealing to Cultural Studies audiences);
2. Email your departmental administrator.
PLEASE NOTE: We ask faculty to submit courses consonant with the profile of the program. This typically includes the exploration of issues such as:
n. b. When submitting your course description to our Executive Committee for vetting, please remember to submit a description that has a Cultural Studies audience in mind.
It is critical for the program's coherence and graduate-student interest that we avoid listing courses that do not address these issues. This would typically exclude traditional survey courses, courses on the life and work of a great artist, introductory literature courses, etc.
By cross-listing a graduate-level course with the program, you are considered by the program to be a member of the Cultural Studies faculty for three years. Cultural Studies faculty:
