Center for Primary Care Community-Based Research

Welcome!

The Center for Primary Care Community-Based Research is a new center committed to improving the health of our communities. We are currently recruiting participants for two research studies. These research studies are aimed at educating participants about risk factors for and knowledge of prostate cancer, stroke, or heart disease. Participation in these studies include attendance at one educational seminar in various areas of Allegheny County, during which you will learn about risk factors and prevention. Participants are compensated for their time.

Research Registry

Due to new privacy regulations in healthcare, organizations such as CPCR cannot just pick up the phone and call individuals or look into patients medical records in order to ask them if they would like to participate in a research study. As a result, CPCR has created a “Research Registry” that is a list of individuals that have given their permission for us to contact them in the future if they are eligible for a study.
You are under no obligation to participate if we contact you, and you always have the option to remove your name from the list.
All information in the registry is held in complete confidence and is kept in locked files, in locked offices, and is only available to the research investigator.
For more information on the registry, or to find out how to sign up, click here.
