The Society of Women Engineers
The Society of Women Engineers enables women in different
engineering and technology fields to come together and work as one force
in industry. Women have always been minority in engineering and one of
the many missions of SWE is to stimulate women to achieve full potential
in careers as engineers and future leaders. Even though the number of
male and female individuals receive their Bachelor Science and technology
degrees, women are still underrepresented in graduate schools and
industry. This is a motivating factor of this organization. SWE hopes to
encourage young women to not only perform well in classes but to excel in
their respective fields.
