CEDAR Goals

Genetics Module
(Coordinator: Michael Vanyukov, Ph.D.)

The goal of this module is to identify the genetic factors contributing to the risk for SUD.

Neurocognition Module
(Coordinator: Ralph Tarter, Ph.D.)

The goal of this module is to determine the impact of the cognitive characteristics and neurologic substrate underlying the risk for SUD.

Developmental/Psychopathology Module
(Coordinator: Duncan Clark, Ph.D., M.D.)

The goal of this module is to elucidate the development of psychopathological characteristics (dimensionally and categorically) contributing to the risk for substance use disorder.

Family and Social Ecology Module
(Coordinator: Ada Mezzich, Ph.D.)

The goal of this module is to investigate the family, peer, social, and demographic factors that impact on the individual to determine the risk for substance use disorder liability factors.
