It's not all work and no play!

The HPS graduate program keeps you extremely busy. But all work and no play would make anyone go crazy. Here, the graduate volleyball team shows off their skills at the annual barbeque. They recently made it to the club semi-finals.

The annual HPS Olympics is becoming a time-honored tradition. The events seem to change every year. Here, Will is explaining the Frisbee Relay to participants. Other events including the Blind Egg-Hunt, the Sponge-Pass, and the Colored-Hat-Riddle.

One previous year's Olympic Event seems to have descended into a tree-branch sword fight that ranged over rooftops. All in good humor, of course. Touché!

Everybody in HPS brings a different hobby to the mix. There are pianists, guitar players, a celloist, a drummer, a belly dancer, various collectors, martial artists, and more. Balázs enjoys, among other things, to present us with exotic electronic toys. Here, he navigates the HPS Tank around our graduate lounge. Other recent gadgets have inuded the HPS Rocket Launcher, the HPS helicopter, and the infamous HPS Blimp.

One of my own favorite past-times is skydiving, which as its participants know, is an extremely addictive sport. In the Spring of 2007, I managed to pass the bug to Balázs, who did his first couple of jumps at Skydive Rick's dropzone near Pittsburgh.
