My Bio

My name is Ben Gomberg and I am currently a Freshman at the University of Pittsburgh. I was born in Arlington, Virginia on 27 January 1989, and am currently 19 years old. I lived in Arlington my entire life and graduated last year from Yorktown High School. I am enrolled in the Engineering program here at Pitt and plan to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After school I intend on going straight into my intended field of work for many years to come.

I have a younger sister named Rachel, and my parents are named Steve and Holly. Rachel is a freshman at Yorktown High School and is 15 years old. My dad currently works for The Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Penn State with an Engineering degree as well. My mom is a lawyer at F.E.R.C. also located in Washington, D.C. and she graduated from Northwestern University.

In high school I ran track, and played both hockey and tennis. I play hockey here at Pittsburgh for the Division Three Club Team. Hockey is undeniably my favorite sport. I follow the National Hockey League religiously and my favorite player is Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals. He is one of the most electrifying players to ever enter the league and should lead the Capitals to many years of good fortune during his career. I also enjoy reading...
