Holiday Party

The Department of Biological Sciences holds its annual Holiday Party in early December. Like the Departmental Retreat and other functions, the holiday party fosters interaction among the diverse members of our group. A unique feature of the Holiday party is the traveling Biological Sciences Orchestra (BSO), conducted by Roger Hendrix, comprised of musically gifted (?) individuals forbidden to practice any of the pieces to be played. The BSO "entertains" Department members in Crawford, Langley, and Clapp halls on the day of the Holiday Party. Dr. Hendrix also conducts the now legendary Department of Biological Sciences beer-bottle wind ensemble.

The Holiday party is now held each year on the Monday following Fall Semester final exams.
