  Evolutionary Genomics Journal Club

This journal club covers a broad range of topics in molecular evoluton and genomics, with an emphasis on microbial genomes. We cover topics in bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, ecology and evolution.

The format is simple. There are no formal, scheduled presentations. If you have read a ppaer that interests you, bring it to the journal club for discussion. You can use the white board to make your point, but no prepared visual aids are allowed. You can take as much time as you need to relay your enthusiasm and engage other members in discussion, but typical "presentations" last 5 - 10 minutes. We will discuss as many papers as time allows.

Participants may bring papers to discuss as often as they encounter ones they wish to discuss.

For the Fall 2006 semester, Evolutionary Genomics Journal Club meets at 12:00 noon in A219 Langley Hall.
