The classes taught and the research performed represent only a portion of what goes on at the Department of Biological Sciences. Regular social and scientific gatherings include those listed to the left. Follow the appropriate link to learn the who's, where's, when's, why's and how's. Monday Seminar Series The Monday Semianr Series features speakers invited from across the country - and across the globe - to present their cutting-edge research. All topics are covered in this seminar series, which features junior up-and-coming scientists, senior researchers and nobel laureates. EE (Wednesday) Seminar Series The EE seminar series features scientists working specifically in the fields of Ecology and Evolution. Speakers are invited from across the nation. In addition, students in the EE graduate program are invited to present their work once per year. Friday Seminar Series The Friday Seminar Series is a forum where graduate students in the MCDB graduate program can present their research once per year. Pymatuning Seminar Series These seminars, held in the summer at the Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology, focus on topics of interests to biologists working at the field station.
