Professor Mannix specializes
in elder law and trial and appellate practice. She has done extensive
research in the area of guardianship reform in Pennsylvania
and has also worked with the Guardianship Committee of the Southwestern
Pennsylvania Partnership on Aging to develop a Guide for Guardians. Prior
to her teaching career, Professor Mannix engaged
in private practice, concentrating in business litigation. She continues to
participate on the Elder Law Committee of the Allegheny County Bar
Association and the Guardianship Committee of the Southwestern Pennsylvania
Partnership on Aging while teaching Elder Law Clinic and Corporate Counsel
Clinic in the School of Law.
