The following represents what the Segue Service would recommend to enthusiasts who would like to summarize the Beatles' contributions captured on the Red and Blue albums, with some tracks included from others. There is probably no best way to sequence a Beatles best-of, yet many attempts (including the Anthology albums) have been somewhat disappointing. Four sides, either 45 or 50 minutes in length, are attempted here to create conceptual progressions which were not possible within the context of individual albums. Die-hard enthusiasts still may consider this whole effort sacrilege, but The Service feels that this attempt is worthwhile and satisfying, even though it is far from comprehensive. We welcome your critique. Feel free to contact the proprietor of the service at baw3@pop.pitt.edu for comments, or requests for contracted service.
