One of Ella Fitzgerald's most famous albums is "Ella in Berlin" from 1960. In that album, she had enormous hits of "Mack the Knife" and "The Lady is a Tramp." She returned to Berlin the following year for another concert, which was recorded but laid aside and not released--until 1991, that is. What a pleasure it was for the jazz world to have access to a new album of Ella in her prime.
