Erroll Garner was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He is most famous for writing the song "Misty."

He was one of the most original jazz pianists, with a style featuring a rock solid left handed rhythm and a right hand that seemed to run slightly ahead with melodies and improvisation.

This is a superb solo album, and was recorded in 1957.
